Today is the 25th of May one month before we leave on the Big Ride. I am nervous excited and ready or not. We have had some of the most amazing training rides. We have seen the most beautiful mornings with the sun streaming through the trees , deers chasing along side us and just the exhilarating feeling of flying along on our tandem. We have trained since September when we decided we were going to do this. Delana was our trainer inside for months. We cycled in spinning classes going nowhere .We have ridden every weekend not taking a break but once. We have ridden in rain ,wind , sun , snow and sleet. We have frozen every part of our bodies and thawed back up to do it all over again. We have fought , laughed, sang and realized you can't get any better than this.

We plan to do a 90 mile ride tomorrow and long rides on Sunday and Monday with just enough time to mow the lawn. The weather should be fine, at least no rain. Still working on getting all our gear together and organized. We will see how much of the stuff we will actually take. It's not yet June but it seems like it's flying by and there we are riding down the long hilly road.

Dear Grandma & Grandpa,
It was fun seeing you today after hearing your voices for so long! Although I will miss you this summer while you are on the ride, I will be very excited to see you in D.C. after riding on my first plane with mommy and daddy. I love you Grandma & Grandpa! You KICK BUTT!

We're jealous..... Have a great time. We'll check in on you regularly! Gonna ride the Tour d'Blast in a couple of weeks. We'll se if I have 3 big climbs in me yet this year.
